It's lovely to find these old purses, this one just turning 100 years old. Made by a reputable name in vintage purses, Whiting & Davis. According to the metal hang tag inside, this one appears to be circa 1920's, see photo. Painted in vivid colors, very art nouveau, which is the time period of the 1920's. The purse itself has a link hang chain, kiss lock closure, unlined as was typical for mesh bags. It has a pixie style bottom and a lovely ornate frame. Colors are still vivid, with only a few rubbed of color or faded. One cluster does have what appears to be sediment of some kind, see photos up close. No links missing that I can see, both sides of the frame/mesh appear to be linked properly. It doesn't close flush on one end, again see photo. The frame is very pretty, one side has a few white spots. Please keep in mind that overall this is a fabulous purse, but I must list the minor flaws regardless. The purse itself is 7.25" long from kiss lock to the bottom, please add 5" for the chain drop. A must have for the avid collector, these purses are quite collectible. Please keep in mind that vintage and/or estate pieces may show some wear or slight imperfections. Note that this purse may have been loved and used by others, so it should be expected that it may not be flawless. I try my best to find condition issues and point them out, but at times, something can be missed. Please don't hesitate to ask questions prior to purchase. It is my goal that you be happy with your purchase - I treat my customers like friends!
