This is an interesting and versatile server, since it's affixed to the bottom, I can't imagine it being an actual gravy boat, but that would be up to the host. I would likely see this as a condiment bowl of sorts, you choose! It is silver plated, no markings but there is a faded tag affixed to the bottom, not readable.
